Trauma Care

HCA West Florida's Blake Medical Center and Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point began operating as Provisional Level II trauma centers on November 19, 2011. The Department of Health notified both facilities that they had successfully completed the provisional review phase of the Level II trauma center application process. HCA Florida and USF Health entered into an affiliation agreement for trauma care which will enable HCA programs in the state, including Blake and RMCBP, to meet the local needs for trauma services through an affiliation with a major academic university and medical school.
