Emergency Care Services

Over 660,608 medical emergencies were treated last year at HCA West Florida hospital emergency rooms and free standing emergency departments. We are the largest provider of emergency care services in the Tampa Bay area, with hospital ERs and free standing emergency departments in Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte Counties.

HCA West Florida emergency rooms provide emergency care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are equipped to treat a variety of medical emergencies in our ERs, including Level II Trauma Care at Blake Medical Center in Bradenton and Regional Medical Center of Bayonet Point in New Port Richey.

Emergency Room Wait Times

Our emergency room physicians, nurses and paramedics follow demonstrated best practices to ensure patients receive the best care possible, as fast as possible. The wait times at our emergency rooms are consistently lower than the national average.

Because of our success in providing urgent care, most of our hospitals now post their emergency room wait times on their websites. You can also text ER to 32222 for the wait time of the emergency room nearest you. Message and data rates may apply. For more information, visit texterhelp.com.
